Schau Dir BigchainDB an. siehe

Tokenization of microfinance products for infrastructure projects

Microfinance products provide a solution, with access to small loans,  for low-income people with poor credit rating. Nowadays they are well established in the market, especially in the global south, to finance small businesses and education.

Recently, microfinance products helping people to finance small solar power plants  with battery storages. An example for that is the company BBOXX providing such systems for rural areas in Africa, which haven’t any access to national power grid. The repayment will be on the same level as the price for fossil fuels like kerosene. In absence of any bank infrastructure, most of the time it will be settled via mobile banking.

Besides this small scale power plants investments, it isn’t used yet to finance bigger projects such as a microgrid for villages. Due to the fact that this small amount is to less for traditional banking to hedge against default risk. Does the blockchain technology reduce the risk that much that traditional banks are interested in using microcredits and make them even profitable to finance microgrids for entire villages?

First approaches for this are Everex and 4G 4G Capital.

Jointly Enable Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles (EV) are noiseless and emission-free, they’re fun to drive thanks to their rapid acceleration, and in Germany they’re financially attractive due to political incentives. Thus, electric mobility is becoming a reality, and the number of EVs on the roads is growing day-by-day. That means that the infrastructure must also be adapted to the requirements of electro mobility, be it public charging points or network capacities. This adaptation should be coordinated in its multi-stakeholder space for optimal design, including automobile manufacturers, EV users, charging station operators, energy supply companies and network operators.

A colleague from the USA offers a solution with his start-up „EVseed“: a hybrid of crowdsourcing and crowdfunding for the placement and financing of charging points, and subsequent reduction of the charging activity. So far, it has only promoted charging at community-funded charging points through the concession. But how could it make charging even more attractive in this multi-stakeholder environment with the flexibility offered by the battery of an EV?
